Announcement
The new launcher fetches Lumenia itself
A new launcher is on the download page from today. The difference to the old way is simple: there is no large archive to unpack any more. You download a small program, run it, pick a folder - it takes care of the rest.
What works differently now:
- Lumenia arrives in one go: 1.4 GB in a single stream instead of tens of thousands of separate files. That is also what you actually download - the game folder ends up around 3 GB.
- If the download breaks off, it continues exactly where it stopped on the next start. Nothing starts over.
- The launcher keeps itself current from now on. You download it once and never again.
- It installs without administrator rights. Windows will not ask for a password.
On first launch Windows shows a blue warning because it does not know Lumenia yet: "More info", then "Run anyway".
The old package stays on the download page. If you already have an installation, or the launcher will not run for you, that route still works as before.
