Change

New loading screens in Lumenia

Two of the new loading screens with floating islands, a dragon and the Lumenia crest

When you travel between maps, you will now see brand-new loading screens: floating islands, castles above the clouds, a dragon in the morning sky, and our Lumenia crest on top.

Guild Combat has its own new loading screen as well.

The update also brings the colors for the upcoming Name Color Scrolls: 23 colors for character and guild names, including Black, Rainbow and Radiant Gold. The scrolls themselves arrive with the next server restart.

The launcher downloads the update automatically on its next start. If it is open right now, close it once and start it again.

In the spotlight – Ying

Today the stage belongs to Ying: a blazing aura, balloons in hand and the White Tiger loyally by their side.

Three new auras now in game – and a surprise in Flaris

The three new auras are now in game: Golden Wrath, Crimson Inferno and Thunder Ascendant surround your character with rising energy and crackling lightning.

Only one of the three auras can be active at a time, but they can be combined with the existing color auras. Your character always stays clearly visible. For Ringmasters, Geburah Tiphreth now also grants +10 % casting speed.

The launcher downloads the update automatically on its next start. If it is open right now, close it once and start it again.

The server is back online, and a little surprise is waiting for you at the post office in Flaris. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience!

Server back online – three new auras are coming

Preview of the three auras Golden Wrath, Crimson Inferno and Thunder Ascendant with flames and lightning

The server is back online – with the short restart we added three new auras: Golden Wrath, Crimson Inferno and Thunder Ascendant.

Each aura wraps your character in flames, sparks and lightning for 30 days, visible to everyone around you. They show up in game with the next client update through the launcher; how to get them will be announced soon. The image is a preview.

Change

Alpha Giants – warning circle now a full 3 seconds

The Alpha Giants' red warning circle now charges for a full 3 seconds, and the damage hits exactly when the circle is full.

Before, the circle finished too early and the hit felt delayed. The update installs itself through the launcher.

Announcement

New Alpha Giants for masks and cloaks

Eight new Alpha Giants have appeared: four Alpha Aibatts in Darkon 3 and four Alpha Razguls in Kaillun Grassland, each in black, red, blue and green.

  • As strong as the Alpha Asuras, with the red circle and rage below 20% HP
  • Every kill: 2 power-ups and, with luck, one of 13 mask or cloak scrolls
  • The scrolls awaken masks or cloaks with a fixed bonus
  • Masks can only be awakened with Alpha Mask Scrolls

The update installs itself through the launcher.

Announcement

The Alpha Giants have arrived

Four new giant Asuras in black, red, blue and green now roam Madrigal, near the strongest giants (Lv 110–120).

  • 50M HP, below 20% HP they hit three times as hard
  • Red circle around the giant: get out fast or take 500,000 damage
  • Every kill: 2 new power-ups and, with luck, one of 13 Alpha Scrolls
  • Alpha Scrolls awaken a fashion piece with a fixed bonus, e.g. STR +25

Also: guilds now gain every earned level with a single donation. The update installs itself through the launcher.

Change

Party upgrade – every party starts at level 40

From now on every party is maxed from the very first moment: advanced party at level 40, all party skills unlocked and free of points.

From just two players you get the full party bonus on EXP, critical hits and Link Attack – no need to wait for a full group. If the leader disconnects, they stay leader for five minutes and the party stays together.

The shops are also finished: Vaelishe (Fashion) sells every set as a box, Sellia (Guild Furniture) is in the guild house, Rangpang takes up to 15 listings, and some goods moved from Dior to Isruel and Peach. The Piñata Party gets reinforcements: up to 13,000 piñatas now roam Madrigal at once.

Change

Shops cleaned up – fashion as set boxes, merchants named after their goods

The merchants of Madrigal have been tidied up: fashion now comes as set boxes, and every merchant shows what they sell in their name.

Vaelishe (Fashion) in Flaris sells every fashion set as a box – one purchase, all parts. That makes 221 set boxes, 37 of them brand new, 2.5 million Penya each. In the guild house, Sellia (Guild Furniture) sells 54 pieces of guild furniture for 20 Perin each, and Rangpang now lets you list up to 15 offers at once. These three changes apply from the next server restart.

Already live with the launcher update: merchants like Boboku (Weapons) or Losha (Food) carry their goods in their name, Peach has labelled tabs, and the descriptions of many buff items such as Pomegranate or Ice Flakes finally show the real values.

Announcement

Halloween Piñata Party – starts Friday at noon

Halloween Piñata Party – starts Friday, October 9, at noon

The Halloween Piñata Party starts on Friday, October 9, at 12:00 (noon) – Madrigal stays spooky until November 1.

Piñatas will appear all over Madrigal. Every hit deals exactly 1 damage – no matter how strong your character is, every piñata needs 10 hits and drops 2–3 Pinata Candy.

In Flaris, Mr. Pumpkin and Count Vempain trade your candy for power-ups, pets that pick up your loot, Halloween costumes with strong set bonuses, cards, vampire weapons and Halloween jewelry that exists only during this event.

After the start on Friday, piñatas appear every day from 14:00 to midnight. Mr. Pumpkin and Count Vempain are already in Flaris and stay until November 8.

Change

Mars Dungeon from level 155, The Mythic Wilds and Black Diamond

What's new in Lumenia – Mars Dungeon, The Mythic Wilds, Black Diamond

The Mars Dungeon is now playable from level 155, and the key to the boss room finally drops inside the dungeon.

Its monsters drop grade A cards, 7 % cards and new power-ups. The boss and the giants always give two different S cards, and only the final boss drops one of six masks for warriors, tanks and mages.

Strong parties from level 165 can now enter The Mythic Wilds with the Bloody Beast Khan, once per day. The new Black Diamond is three times as strong as the diamond, fits Purified Yggdrasil weapons and drops in the Floating Castle B1, among other places.

On top of that, SHIFT shows set bonuses before you buy, the game window can be minimized, and 50 new monsters wait in the volcano crater on the Island of Dreams. Start the game once through the launcher.

Change

Level rewards, a new Island of Dreams and more

What's new in Lumenia – level rewards, Island of Dreams, Floating Castle B1, trade in Perin

Lots of news since the last post: from level 15 on, every level-up brings a reward, and at fixed levels you even get +10 gear for your class and gender.

The Island of Dreams has been rebuilt – an island group with ten bridges and almost 3,000 monsters. The Floating Castle B1 is open from level 150, and Unconfirmed cards and runes can now be opened.

On top of that, giants drop better loot, Ron can fuse Baruna two-handed weapons, removed cards go back into your inventory, and /awake, stacks of 9,999 and Perin instead of lost Penya make everyday play easier.

New at Lui: Pet Awake and Eat-Pet Awake for 100,000 Penya each, plus the scroll to rename your pet. In private shops and the trade market you can now set prices in Perin too.

Start the game once through the launcher.

Announcement

New: the Crystal Gorge

Crystal Gorge – new endgame dungeon from level 120

Now open: the Crystal Gorge, a party dungeon from level 120 (recommended 165+). Get there through the V menu.

  • Enemies level 165–171; at the end Crystalheart, the Rune Wyrm and Aurelion, the Sky Dragon are waiting.
  • Loot: Yggdrasil sets and weapons, Yggdrasil stones, Baruna scrolls, Cosmo Stones and Oves – the bosses also drop cards (12 %).
  • New in Flaris: Blessing of the Pet Tamer at Lui (100 M), Scroll of Reduction A at Peach (2 B). Pet Energy now costs 100 M.

Restart your launcher once.

Announcement

The Island of Dreams is open – and your first feedback is already in

The Island of Dreams – new map from level 120

Since Friday night there is a new world: the Island of Dreams, a ring of land around a lagoon, built by our team. Nine landscapes, enemies from level 125 to 151, and an ember crater in the middle with the final boss. And tonight we already fixed what you reported on day one.

  • You get in with the Island Ticket from Dior: 100 million Penya, 15 days, from level 120. The ticket can be passed on as long as it is unused; once it is activated on entry, it is yours.
  • Every enemy drops Gold Chips, sometimes several, and very rarely a Dream Core. The chips are bound – Schnookum in Madrigal no longer takes them; instead, Lumen and Nia are waiting on the island.
  • Lumen sells the level 120 armour sets for every class, 32 fashion pieces and the Ultimate Bloody weapons (for chips plus a Dream Core). Nia: jewellery, power-ups, Vis pets, the Bead Slot Key and beads.

What you reported and what changed tonight:

  • Nia's jewellery was bound to your character the moment you got it. It can be traded now – including the pieces you already bought.
  • Lumen was missing the sets for Psykeeper, Elementor, Jester and Billposter. All eight classes are there now.
  • The Colosseum refused anyone above level 150. It now goes up to level 300, like every other dungeon.
  • In the trade window some cards suddenly showed up as a different item. That was the game, not you, and the launcher fetches the fix on its own the next time you start it.

This cost two short restarts in a row at 9 pm tonight instead of one – the first failed our own safety check even though everything was fine. If you were online: sorry.

Still open: the enemies on the island are spread thin in some places and dense in others, and one spot in the terrain goes straight up. Both are with the map builders. Anything else you notice, tell us in Discord.

Change

The Aminus gates open again, and Euphresia is where it should be

Since this afternoon the world runs on a new build, and the launcher picks it up on its own the next time you start it. Two things you reported are fixed with it, and a few more on top.

  • The teleporter to "Euphresia: Dreams HERO" dropped you next to the entrance instead of inside. You now land in the gate.
  • The entrances in Aminus often refused you while running, as if you had hit an invisible wall. The gates are wider now; just walk through.
  • If you carry many buffs at once you no longer lose one: 35 fit at the same time instead of 21, and the bar shows them all.
  • Gathering pets move twice as fast and pick up drops before anyone else spots them.
  • An item that already carries a skin can be skinned again. A skinned piece still cannot serve as the template for another item.
  • The action bar sometimes got stuck when the target vanished on the way and refused any further input. It now frees itself after a few seconds.

This cost two short restarts of a few seconds this afternoon, one planned and one by mistake on our side. Nobody was logged in, but you should know.

Still open: one player reports the game freezing on teleport to Azria and Coral. If that happens to you too, tell us in Discord with the time and the destination; it helps us track it down.

Announcement

The new launcher fetches Lumenia itself

A new launcher is on the download page from today. The difference to the old way is simple: there is no large archive to unpack any more. You download a small program, run it, pick a folder - it takes care of the rest.

What works differently now:

  • Lumenia arrives in one go: 1.4 GB in a single stream instead of tens of thousands of separate files. That is also what you actually download - the game folder ends up around 3 GB.
  • If the download breaks off, it continues exactly where it stopped on the next start. Nothing starts over.
  • The launcher keeps itself current from now on. You download it once and never again.
  • It installs without administrator rights. Windows will not ask for a password.

On first launch Windows shows a blue warning because it does not know Lumenia yet: "More info", then "Run anyway".

The old package stays on the download page. If you already have an installation, or the launcher will not run for you, that route still works as before.

Change

Skills now rise on their own

Since this evening the world runs on a new build. The biggest change first: no more spending skill points. Reach a new level and every skill available to you is already at its maximum.

  • Skills rise to their maximum on their own, on every class tier from your first steps to Legend Hero. Master and Hero skills keep following their own rules.
  • The free class change window comes back with your next monster kill if you click it away. No relog needed, and it works on all five tiers: level 15, level 60, Master, Hero and Legend.
  • Dior now carries the Scroll of Holy for 10,000 Penya. It removes all debuffs.
  • Dior also carries the Scroll of Party Amplification for 15 days, 100,000,000 Penya. It gives the party leader unlimited party points.
  • The Wilds is now listed in the teleport window, with the real odds for its rewards.
  • New honour title "Lumenia Supporter". Only Nero hands it out personally, for people who give something back to this world. It cannot be earned and cannot be selected.
  • The bags no longer leak. Moving something between your inventory and a bag could lose it: it left one window and never arrived in the other. From now on it goes back where it came from if the destination refuses it, and you get a message.
  • Whatever sits in your first bag returns to your inventory on its own the next time you log in. Hardly anyone used that bag on purpose, and those who dropped something in by accident never found it again. All you need is enough free space, otherwise we try again next time.

And one thing we would rather say openly than change quietly: the gift boxes have never paid out. Not once, since they existed. Anyone who bought one and opened it paid Penya and received nothing. Every affected box is off sale from now until we have found and fixed the cause.

Announcement

The launcher in its new colours

Starting today the launcher wears the crest and colours of Lumenia Reborn: the sky emblem on stage, news with patch and event tags, and a clear path from start to play. Two buttons are new: "Website" and "Logs", right in the bar at the bottom.

The launcher does not update itself - grab the new version from the download page and run it once. Your settings and game folder stay as they are. The game itself is unchanged; all updates keep coming through the launcher.

New here? The game package on the download page has been repacked as well - the old patcher is gone, the launcher is included.

Change

Power-ups at Dior, set bonuses work, guilds for 100,000

After today's short maintenance, a few things are different in Flaris. Restart your launcher once so the client knows the new prices and windows.

  • Set bonuses now work. If you wear a complete set, take it off and put it back on once - then the stats apply.
  • Dior in Flaris sells twelve power-ups in the first tab for 10,000 Penya each: Upcut Stone, Def-Upcut Stone, Grilled Eel, Vital Drink X, Refresher Hold, Enhanced Activition, Scroll of Velocity, Scroll of Sprint, Re-Stat, Scroll of Party Growth, Enhanced Party Skill Range 30 and the 15-day Scroll of Party Skill.
  • Peach in Flaris now carries the Scroll of Reversion next to the awakening scrolls, 10,000 Penya. It removes an awakening.
  • Awakening overwrites: an already awakened piece can be awakened again right away, no reset needed. The old values are gone afterwards.
  • Activition, Enhanced Activition and Refresher Hold last a full hour.
  • The party skill Lucky Drop gives one and a half times the drop chance - fixed, regardless of skill level.
  • Founding a guild at Helena in Saint Morning costs 100,000 instead of 3,000,000 Penya.

Known and still open: tooltips for the three buffs still show the old duration. That is display only, the effect is right.

Change

Penya x100, Guardian weapons from giants, awakening positive only

Second maintenance tonight. Restart your launcher once - it picks up the new prices, the new teleport window and the rest on its own. If you still see an old patcher window saying "cant connect": install the launcher from the download page, the old patcher is history.

  • Penya x100 instead of x10. Monsters drop ten times the Penya they did this afternoon.
  • Guardian weapons from 13 giants: Giant Volt (Lv 65), Elderguard (67), Catsy (67), Garbagepider (69), Crane Machinery (71), Syliaca (73), Nautrepy (73), Harpy (73), Greemong (75), Carrierbomb (77), Boo (77), Pire (79) and Gullah (79). Chance for a Guardian weapon: 20 % per kill instead of 1.5 % - at any level. The usual penalty for higher-level characters no longer applies to these giants.
  • The Wilds (Lv 80+): Lusaka weapons and the level-75 sets from the boss drop at 20 % per group instead of 4 % - same as the giants, also at any level. This dungeon only.
  • Awakening rolls positive values only. Pieces already awakened with negative values stay as they are - only a new roll changes them.
  • Teleport window (V): while it is open you can keep clicking and walking. V opens and closes it.
  • Dior: all timed power-ups now last a full hour (Upcut Stone, Vital Drink X, Refresher Hold, Scroll of Velocity, Scroll of Sprint, Activition, Enhanced Activition). The Scroll of Sprint joined with a third short maintenance late in the evening - restart your launcher once more afterwards so the tooltip shows the hour. New at Dior: White Cake for 1,000 and Scroll of Element Change for 10,000 Penya. The Def-Upcut Stone is gone - it had no effect in game.
  • Peach sells elements: Flame, River, Generator, Desert and Cyclone Card for 10,000 Penya each, plus the Scroll of Smelting (Elements) for 100,000.

Known and still open: the loot window in the teleporter still shows the old numbers for The Wilds. And if your set bonuses do not apply, tell us on Discord which set - we will look into it.

Change

What is new in the game

The past few days changed more than a number in a table. Here is what you will notice in the game itself.

  • Every inventory tab now holds 144 slots, both bag slots are unlocked permanently and no longer expire — not even for new characters.
  • The inventory window is larger: nine slots per row, seven visible rows.
  • HERO dungeons have double the drop chance of their normal version. If you are looking for gear, that is where you look.
  • Level 35 and 60 now come with a gift: the Coral Island and the Azria ticket, 15 days each and bound to the character.
  • Quests give x100 experience. At the same time the hand-outs were smoothed: no quest grants ten levels at once any more, and the starting chain carries you cleanly to level 30.
  • Vendor sell prices are dampened. The reason is our x10 drop rate with unchanged prices — a piece of armour was recently worth about ninety times a kill at high level. Fighting is worth it again compared to selling.
  • 77 fashion items in six shops had been priced at 4 Penya for years. That was inherited, and it is fixed.
  • The final boss in Mars finally drops Penya.
  • Isruel sells the Coral Island and Azria tickets as well as the Premium Hunting License, which now runs 15 days instead of 7.
Announcement

Ten tips that save you time

Since this week a hint runs through the in-game chat every hour. If you would rather not wait for the clock, here are all ten at once.

  • The rates: x100 experience, x100 quest experience, x10 drop, x100 Penya.
  • Saving quests up does not pay. Handing them in as you go levels you far faster than pure grinding.
  • The Teleport NPC takes you to the dungeons. Each one has its own boss and its own drop table.
  • In the teleport window, hovering a dungeon shows its stats, selecting it shows the full drop table.
  • Shift and right-click a box in your inventory to preview what it can contain — before you open it.
  • HERO dungeons have double the drop chance. The best place to farm gear.
  • Isruel sells the Coral Island and Azria tickets as well as the Premium Hunting License for 15 days.
  • Every inventory tab holds 144 slots, and both bag slots are permanently unlocked.
  • Level 35 and 60 each come with a bound dungeon ticket valid for 15 days.

Questions, bugs or ideas belong in our Discord — there is a ticket system there, and we do read it.

Website account: confirmation and character overview

Anyone registering now receives a confirmation e-mail. Only after clicking the link in it does the website login work. Existing accounts are unaffected and stay signed in.

Important: this concerns the website only. The game itself checks none of it — logging in and playing works exactly as before.

The account area also gained a character overview: name, level, class and Penya of every character on an account at a glance. The password form now sits behind its own panel so nobody touches it by accident.
